Are you a fitness junkie? Are you someone who would love to train even while on holiday, and do you plan to travel to Thailand soon? Or are you just thinking of taking a break from work and your busy life to just concentrate on getting fit?

If the answer to any or all of the above questions is yes, then you must check out the Titan Fitness Camp in Chalong area in Phuket, Thailand.

Chalong, as I described in my previous article, is an area in Phuket which has a street named Soi Taied, or Fighter Street, as they call it in English. It is filled with gyms, Muay Thai centres, health food cafés and restaurants, massage parlours etc. And among all the facilities stands Titan Fitness.

Titan fitness is not just a gym. It is a fitness camp that was established in 2013. The scope of a fitness camp is far wider than that of a gym. As the name suggests, a fitness camp is a facility where you can train, eat, and essentially stay, with all facilities that you need taken care of. So if you plan to go to Titan Fitness, you can relax and be assured that they will take care of your accommodation, your health food, and of course your training.

Titan Fitness has an indoor training gym for weight lifting, as well as an outdoor arena where their classes take place. They also have an outdoor assault course, in case you are interested in training for an obstacle race like the Devils’s Circuit in India or the Spartan Race. The facilities include a café called Health’s Kitchen, where you can indulge in delicious food prepared in a healthy manner, so that you don’t have to worry about the calories you take in. If you are a protein junkie, there are protein shakes and smoothies galore.

You can book Titan Fitness in 3 ways –you can either opt for just the indoor gym access, or you can book for the classes, or you can book for a package which will include access to the gym and classes, along with your accommodation.

Titan Fitness is home to people from all parts of the world, who come here to train. You will find here people of all age groups, all levels of fitness (from beginners to professionals), weight lifters, CrossFit enthusiasts etc. Some come for a week, while some stay put for months, and some locals even come only for a particular class. Whatever your level of fitness, the trainers make sure you get complete value for money and the best of what your expectations are.

Titan Fitness presently has around 14 trainers from various parts of the world. Each trainer specialises in a particular area. If one’s specialty is yoga, another one may be an expert in CrossFit training, and one in calisthenics etc. So you can be assured that whatever your goals are, whatever style of training you like, you will find the right trainer for that at Titan Fitness. Also, each class varies a lot in regard to the style of training.

The classes are as follows:

Body 360 – This one is a more of cardio and a body pump workout. People looking to maximise weight loss should opt for this class.

Cross Training – A CrossFit style of training class, it will help you improve your strength, speed, power, flexibility etc.

S & T – S & T stands for strength and technique. This class focuses on resistance training and basic cardiovascular exercises. It can help one to improve their form, strength, power, and stamina.

Olympic Weightlifting – The sport of Olympic weightlifting comprises two lifts, the snatch and the clean + jerk. This class will train you well in these two lifts.

Yoga – The preferred form of yoga here is vinyasa yoga. Vinyasa movements are smooth-flowing and almost dance like, where the poses run together and flow into each other.

Open Mat Session – This is a free session where you have the whole arena at your disposal. You can do your own workout and can use all the equipment the camp has to offer.

Assault Course Training – As the name suggests, this is like a mini-version of the Spartan Race. It is an obstacle race, designed to test your body’s potential to the maximum.

Boxercise – Boxercise is not your traditional boxing class. At Titan Fitness, the trainers always incorporate something or the other to make the class different from traditional boxing coaching, which keeps one on their toes.

Spinning – Just like boxercise, this is also not your traditional spinning class, where one sits on the bike for an hour. The trainers incorporate different things to make the class exciting and different every time.

Titan Fitness also has Saturday morning classes at the beach or at the Big Buddha, which in itself is a good and recreational way to break from the stereotype of training, and to keep yourself and your body from getting bored of the routines being followed.

So if you plan to get fit in paradise, while having the will and strength to push your body beyond perceived limits, and if you really want to change your life around, then I would suggest you pay Titan Fitness a visit.
